Runner’s Devotional and Training Plan

Week 1 Teaser

Devotional – Hebrews 12:11-13 NIV

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.”

****

As we do the slow work of disciplining our bodies, it can be easy to focus on the discomfort and lose sight of the fruits of the spirit that are growing inside of us. Being steadfast in all we do is a way to strengthen our character and build endurance. Consider the ways God is refining your mind, heart, and soul through the discipline of running. Pray for righteousness and peace to flourish as you strengthen feeble arms and weak knees. This is the way of healing.
